Doug Bullinger | Principal

Doug Bullinger has been serving as the Chanhassen principal since 2020.  Prior to that he taught chemistry and physics for ten years in the Osseo and Edina school districts, and served as an education adjunct instructor at multiple universities.  He has also been an AP in Mounds View and a principal in Hopkins before joining the Chanhassen team.


Erin Swoboda | Assistant Principal

Erin began her education career at Chaska Middle School West as a special education teacher after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Luther College.  She then served the district as an Intervention Coach and later as a Special Education Coordinator before coming to Chanhassen High School as an Administrative Dean.  Along the way, she earned her Master and Specialist degrees from Saint Mary’s.  Erin now serves as the Assistant Principal of Chanhassen High School.  She is a proud mom of 3 fun and active boys who keep her young with all their activities, humor and fun!  Her husband is an educator in the Edina school district and they enjoy traveling, family fun, being active and attending sporting events.


Chris Gallagher | Dean

Chris Gallagher started his teaching career in the Social Studies Department at Chaska High School in 1998.  One of the highlights of his time in the classroom centered around his time as a member of the Chaska Alternative Program teaching staff.  Mr. Gallagher spent three years in an administrative role as Dean of Students at Chaska High School prior to moving to Chanhassen High School when it opened in 2009.  Mr. Gallagher has been one of CNS’s deans since 2017.  Mr. Gallagher thoroughly enjoys helping to teach life and decision-making skills to the students of Chanhassen High School.  Go Storm!


Kimberly Rodrigues Foster | Dean

Kimberly Rodrigues Foster has been an Administrative Dean at Chanhassen since 2021. Prior to that she taught Spanish for eight years at Hopkins High School and Hopkins North Junior High for traditional, immersion and heritage language students from beginners to CIS and AP. She also taught AVID and was a Success Coach for four years. Prior to education, Kim was a writer and editor for 10 years and has been known to dabble in HTML coding, science and engines (a self-proclaimed “nerda”). Originally from California, she has traveled the entire western US, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Australia and Spain.


Mike Bailey | Assistant Principal & Athletics Director

Mike Bailey started his career in education here in District 112 in 1999, since 2022 he has served as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Chanhassen High School.  Before that Mike was a social studies teacher at Chaska Middle School West from 1999-2012 and at Chanhassen High School from 2012-2020.  Mike has been in several coaching roles during his tenure here including head varsity football coach, track and field coach, and as an instruction coach for Chaska Middle School East and Chanhassen High School.  In his free time, Mike enjoys traveling with his wife and two kids and is an avid golfer.

 


Jon Summer | Assistant Principal & Fine Arts & Activities Director
Jon Summer began his education career in 2001 as the Assistant Athletics Director at Hopkins High School.  He has also served as the District Athletics Director for Farmington Public Schools, before coming to Eastern Carver County Schools in 2013-14 as the Assistant Principal-Athletics Director for Chaska High School.  Jon served in this role at Chaska High School for nine years before transitioning to the role of Assistant Principal-Arts/Activities Director for both Chanhassen High School and Chaska High School starting in the 2022-23 school year.  Jon is the father of three boys and his wife Nika is also an educator who works for Shakopee Public Schools.  He has a strong passion for supporting student learning through co-curricular involvement - enhancing the overall experience and connection for our student learners.
