Family Engagement Plan

2025-2026 Family Engagement Plan

Developing Strong Partnerships with our community is a key priority in our strategic plan. This plan focuses on sharing how we engage with our community.

STRATEGIC DIRECTION

We take concerns about bullying seriously.  Please contact your student’s dean, Chris Gallagher or Whitney Eipperle if you have concerns about bullying. That dean will apprise the rest of the administration team, including the principal, to investigate concerns.

Developing strong partnerships within the communities we serve
Staff actively seek and are open to feedback from families.
  • Many teachers ask students for feedback throughout the term, and ALL teachers are open to feedback and questions from parents at any point.
  • Students are asked to complete a ‘temperature check’ feedback form each fall and winter to monitor how we are doing as a school.
  • An end-of-year survey is sent to families and students each spring.  The responses are used to plan for the following year.
The school will provide families with clear information on the curriculum, class schedules, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Caregiver Handbook

  • WAAGs (Week at a Glance documents, found on the school website)
  • School Website
  • Weekly Newsletter
Our school supports families as advocates and provides opportunities for parent engagement
  • If a parent or guardian has questions about what is happening in the classroom, the first step is to reach out to that teacher.  Teachers are happy to talk through concerns with parents, and usually respond within 48 hours.

  • While the high school does not have a PTO, there are various opportunities to serve on committees throughout the year.  If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to the principal, Doug Bullinger.
There are many opportunities for families to build connections to the school and to each other.
  • Back to School Night (August)
  • Open House (August)
  • Conference Nights (October and March)
  • Chanhassen Information Night, for current and prospective students, is held each January
