Debate
Debate is part of the National Speech and Debate Association. Debate strives to teach students to think critically, to speak eloquently, research effectively, to understand both sides of an issue, and to broaden students' knowledge on a wide range of important issues. Our team competes in Public Forum Debate, Lincoln-Douglass Debate, and Student Congress. Our team includes 9th to 12th grade students. Qualified students may also compete in several post-season tournaments for a chance to qualify to both the MSHSL, NCFL Grand National Tournament, Tournament of Champions, and The NSDA National Tournaments.
