Chanhassen Storm Varsity Football: Spectator Allowance Information

Storm Families – This year’s sports season is like none other we’ve seen before.  With limitations on seasons, on spectators, and other “normal” parts of athletics, our focus this fall is on our student athletes.  The steps we are taking – in alignment with Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) guidance – ensure we are doing everything we can to support a safe and healthy return to play. While football has traditionally been a community event within the Eastern Carver County School District, this season will look different.  Football games this fall will be just that – not community events but games. Per MDH and MDE guidelines, stadium spectator capacity is capped at 250.  This 250 spectator capacity will be split evenly between home and away teams, allowing for each competing school/community an allocation of 125 tickets.  Preference for these 125 tickets will be provided to the families of our Chanhassen Storm varsity players. 9th Grade Chromebook Exchange

Hello 9th grade students and parents! We are excited to announce that we have a plan to swap your students’ old Chromebooks with new ones as soon as next week! We appreciate your patience during these unprecedented times. We will have three days in which students may come to the school to pick up their new device. If these options are not available due to schedule conflicts or safety concerns, you may contact 112chromehelp@district112.org to schedule a separate appointment. Dates and Times Wednesday, September 16 – Students should come to Chanhassen High School based on their Hybrid Learning assignment. We will have a socially distant setup in the commons area for you to drop off your old device and charger, then pick up your new device. Free Weekend Meals For Students Provided By Sheridan Story

Dear Parent/Guardian, Healthy eating is so important for children.  At Chanhassen High School, we work hard to ensure students receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day to support their developing brains and bodies. Research shows that children who eat regular, nutritious meals are more likely to attend school and be engaged in learning. We are excited to partner with The Sheridan Story to offer a free weekend food program to all our students. The Sheridan Story is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. They strive to make a difference in children’s lives by focusing on food gaps like weekends, school breaks, and summer when they can’t receive food in school. Picture Day

Good Morning Chan students and parents! Due to high school starting the year in distance learning, we are not running our typical orientation days. Students will not need to purchase parking passes or lunches until returning to school. We will get more information out when the time comes. Right now, these days only consist of the opportunity to get your picture taken and meet with our Career and Resource Counselor, Cassidy Capriglione, if you would like to. You may have received several messages from Lifetouch Photography regarding student photos this fall. Unfortunately, these have included incorrect information.  The official picture days for Chanhassen High School will be Tuesday, August 25th (8am-4pm) and Wednesday, August 26th (8am-4pm).  We strongly encourage students to follow the schedule that was emailed to you  so that we can maintain proper social distancing during the photo sessions.  Note that all students are included in this schedule including seniors, who may come if... Requesting a refund on your senior student’s meal account

If your child is graduating, or your family plans to move before next year’s school year, the balance in your child’s meal account can be refunded. Refunds must be requested in writing by a parent or guardian. If your student is graduating and you have other children still in school, the account balance can also be transferred to a sibling’s food service account.  Balances may also be donated to the district’s Angel Fund. This fund assists families who need financial assistance for food. The deadline to request a refund, transfer of funds or to donate the balance of your child’s account is June 19.
